ScarWork™ Therapy
Our bodies are designed with a continuous web of fascia, also know as connective tissue. When trauma occurs, whether by injury or surgery, there is a disruption in the fascial web. In the healing process, scar tissue develops and goes beyond what the eye can see. This scar tissue can cause limited function of joints & organs, nerve pain and/or numbness, or reduced circulation.
ScarWork™ Therapy uses a very light touch and a variety of techniques to assist the tissues back "home" and to its original state.
Testimonials:
"I had a total knee replacement in June 2023. Since surgery I’ve had difficulty with flexion. It felt as though something was stuck, maybe something needed to pop. I went to PT for months and that feeling never resolved. Massage therapy didn’t fix it, so I decided to try Rolfing. One session with Amy doing scar work around my knee resolved the issue! Amazing! Scar work is a very light touch…so light I didn’t think it could do anything, but the change only took a couple of hours. We are now working to resolve some nerve/tissue issues and they are coming along. I highly recommend scar work and Amy with her healing hands."
"Amy is a skilled and intuitive practitioner. She suggested we do some scar work on some old surgical scars. I was skeptical but the results were immediate and amazing, relieving arm and neck pain. I am very impressed with the outcome and highly recommend."
